Love for Reghan and the Benkert Family!

On Wednesday, November 15, Reghan Benkert was in a car accident on her way to the Bible study near where she attends Georgia Southern University. We praise God that she is in stable condition, but know she has a long recovery ahead. To help her and her family through the weeks ahead, we'd like to help ease the burden by gifting them with gas, grocery and restaurant cards.

Pastor Barry and his wife, Wendy, will be delivering these in person this coming Tuesday! Grab what you can and hand it off to Miranda at the front "Guest Services" desk this coming Sunday morning (11/19). We will also have cards available for you to write Reghan some well wishes and prayers!

Gift Card Suggestions:

  • Doordash
  • ChickFilA
  • La Parilla
  • Olive Garden
  • Shell
  • Chevron

These are all local to the hospital where Reghan is currently being treated.

Latest Update from Heather Benkert (mom):

Reghan is a champ, which we all knew but as much as it helps, it isn't what we'd want. Even in the pain, she's more worried about the other person in the accident, her work, and school.

She's got several breaks in her pelvis so they're going to do surgery. She needs to be non weight bearing for about 3 months. The surgery will be tomorrow. We still haven't talked to the hand specialist but we know a surgery has to happen with that. She has a compound fracture. Still waiting on the decision to put a plate in her broken clavicle. Her brain bleed looks good. (As good as a brain bleed can look).

She came through surgery, critical but stable. There were many fractures, tear in spleen & liver, small spot of blood in her brain, collar bone is broken, they repaired her lung, her diaphragm and tomorrow an ortho surgeon will decide when he'll operate on her pelvic. We are thanking God for this precious life and pray He'll heal and make her even stronger.
